The Role

CML is expanding its footprint in the SMA controller space and is seeking a Product Manager to help define, develop, and bring to market a family of controller IC’s. This role will work closely alongside the Director of AI Vision to support IC product management activities and help to create the customer-facing story, positioning, and technical enablement required to scale new product offerings.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in an evolving environment, enjoys building processes from the ground up, and can translate complex technology into compelling value for customers and partners.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

Support the creation and execution of the SMA controller IC strategy aligned to CML’s broader product system roadmap
Contribute to product definition activities including feature prioritisation, requirements capture, customer value proposition development, and application support material
Support product management activities within AI Vision business unit, including market segmentation, product positioning, and differentiation

Cross-Functional Product Development

Work closely with the Director of Silicon and internal engineering teams to align product requirements with silicon, firmware/software, and system capabilities
Coordinate with stakeholders across mechanical, electronics, software, and algorithms teams to ensure cohesive product messaging and delivery
Identify gaps and propose scalable processes for product lifecycle management as the Controller IC and AI Vision portfolio grows

Go-to-Market & Enablement Materials

Generate high-quality product marketing and technical support materials for new product offerings, such as:
Product briefs and pitch decks
Datasheet content and application notes
FAQs and enablement guides for customer support/sales teams
Competitive comparisons and positioning frameworks
Ensure materials are accurate, differentiated, and tailored to target customer needs and use cases

Market & Customer Insight

Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, customer demands, and commercial opportunities in AI Vision
Collaborate with customers and partners to understand application requirements and translate these into product direction
Create insights that improve pipeline generation and customer engagement

Analytical Decision Support

Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess product trade-offs, performance targets, risks, and customer priorities
Track key product metrics and feedback signals to support continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

Required Skills & Attributes

Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams in a technology-led environment
Experience in semiconductors, consumer electronics, or adjacent high-volume technology market
Understanding of product development lifecycles for ICs and/or system solutions (silicon + software/algorithms is a plus)
Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical detail into clear, customer-ready messaging
A proactive, self-starting mindset with adaptability to work in a fast-changing, growth-focused product area
Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
Comfortable building new processes and ways of working as the product portfolio and organisation scales
Ability to influence and motivate teams
Degree in Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline
Exposure to AI Vision ecosystems, vision processing pipelines, or computer vision-enabled products is beneficial (not essential)
