About the role
We are looking for an experienced and diligent Mechanical Designer to strengthen our team. The role is based in either Espoo or Joensuu, and we have hybrid working model in use.
What you will do:
- Responsible for mechanical design activities and mechanics support activities over Dispelix internal groups and functions
- Define product mechanics based on customer requirements in collaboration with the project team
- Define the component quality measures based on customer requirements in collaboration with project team
- Define technical drawings for internal and external manufacturing in collaboration with project team
- Responsible for the mechanics processes including the product data management system (PDM) development and sustenance
- Mechanical design of AR product prototypes for technology marketing
- Communication with vendor and customer mechanical designers
What you bring:
- Experience in mechanical design & drawings
- Experience in using up to date 2D/3D design software’s for creating mechanical drawings according to applicable standards
- Understanding the meaning of tolerances and tolerance chains
- Experience in using PDM systems for managing mechanical drawings
- Talent for paying attention to details and being accurate with design and data
- Ability to work effectively with multicultural teams and external partners
- Fluent English – both written and spoken
- Engineer level degree
- Customer Service attitude with patience
- Hands-on skills in mechanics
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Beneficial skills:
- Knowledge of manufacturing technologies
- Knowledge of mass production and volume series products
- Understanding the meaning of quality and the basics of tools used for continuous quality improvement
- Industrial design knowledge
