About the role
We are looking for a motivated and result driven QC Engineer to strengthen our Quality Control (QC) team in Espoo, Finland. You will work as a QC Lead in our R&D projects, work hands on with our diverse state-of-the-art AR waveguide metrology equipment, and develop the existing and new setups as well as measurement methods. You will also analyze the measurement results for other members of the R&D project teams. The role requires travelling.
What you will do:
Participate in R&D projects, create QC plans and execute the plans, including hands-on laboratory measurement work, and reporting the results.
Participate in development of metrology tools and methods.
Create and develop needed scripts to enable the measurements from the beginning until the end of delivering the results and analysis.
Support remotely and possibly on site the metrology activities in our AR waveguide factory in China as a member of the Espoo QC team.
What you bring:
An MSc or a PhD degree in Optics or Physics (Computer science/Optics/Color science/Machine vision)
Strong programming skills in Matlab, Python, and maybe C++/C+
Experience and understanding of data processing/analysis
Experience with tools and/or methods for efficient measurement procedures
Fluent English – both written and spoken
Beneficial skills:
Collaborating and working efficiently with teammates who have diverse backgrounds
Background in color science
Knowledge of waveguide/diffractive optics and machine vision
Experience with optical measurements
