Qualcomm is looking for an experienced Product Management leader in the Compute Business Unit to help strategize and drive software platform and related ecosystem support for Windows on Snapdragon® initiative.

Windows on Snapdragon® initiative is revolutionizing the PC industry. Windows Copilot+ PCs powered by Snapdragon X Elite are leading the industry with its revolutionary performance, efficiency and AI capabilities. The personal notebook industry is shifting towards these capabilities, and this has created momentum amongst the developer community to adopt this new platform. Windows PC is central development and target platform for millions of software developer community. These developers represent multiple use cases, needs and challenges. To make Snapdragon Compute platform developer ready for these challenges, Qualcomm works closely with existing industry solutions, tools and middleware. Especially with AI, this landscape is shifting fast. The role will be central to this movement.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of Windows developer ecosystem across consumer/enterprise segments. She/he will also be familiar with developer workflows and related tools & tech for today’s generation of Windows developer with thirst for AI. She/he will work with the internal stakeholders (product, engineering, marketing, business, and program management) and external industry partners to put together the right strategy and plan for application developer engagement, enablement, and support. She/he will engage with developers and industry partners to analyze new business and technical opportunities - new software/hardware requirements, drive execution, and support the go-to-market plans and global customer engagements.
The position requires understanding of PC and Windows, knowledge of technical and business sides of software and application development, proven track record of cross-functional leadership with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The role also requires AI technology and ecosystem knowledge.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Does a thorough market analysis to identify the current offerings and gaps. Interacts with developers and industry partners, to understand their products/roadmaps/strategies, competition, overall market. Conducts a thorough global AI developer ecosystem analysis.
• Works with internal experts (technical and business stakeholders) in different areas to learn and understand the technologies, strategies, roadmaps, and relevant dependencies
• Defines a comprehensive product and partnerships strategy, roadmap and plan for Windows on Snapdragon global developer enablement and engagement. Collaborates with key stakeholders and program sponsors to develop product goals (e.g., performance, cost, timeline, customer schedules), discuss product feasibility, and facilitate cross-functional decision making for product lines. Communicates regularly with internal customers, third-party vendors, and senior management to establish needs and goals, and executes communication/change management plan for stakeholders, management, and executives.
• Influences external developer/partner products roadmaps and decisions by advocating for Windows on Snapdragon and Qualcomm technologies.
• Working with multiple product management, engineering, program, marketing, and other business stakeholders executes the on the roadmap creating a strong business impact. Oversees successful cross-functional collaboration by ensuring the completion of milestones ensuring the completed work aligns with roadmap for a product line(s).
• Drives product line launch strategies for new products and technologies through technical marketing opportunities such as conferences, congresses, and direct customer contact and ensures successful product launch.
• Prepares and delivers highly complex and high-stakes technical and business presentations to variety of internal and external audiences regarding product roadmaps that explain and demonstrate products to customers and integrates customer feedback into project roadmaps.
Level of Responsibility:
• Working independently with no supervision.
• Making decisions that are significant in impact, influencing overall program or project success, finances, and/or the ability to meet objectives; errors are not readily apparent due to the complexity of work process/product or time between decisions and results; errors typically result in significant expenditure of time, resources, and funds to correct.
• Using verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels. Role may require strong negotiation and influence, communication to large groups or high-level constituents.
• Some financial accountabilities (e.g., manages a small budget, has input into P&L).
• Having a great degree of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is making or directly making key decisions that have a substantial impact on the organization).
• Completing tasks that require multiple steps that can be performed in various orders; tasks require simultaneously executing multiple cognitive abilities and maintaining information in short- or long-term memory.
• Regularly determines what needs to be done and is involved with sharing innovative solutions to achieve broad policies and objectives.
• Using deductive and inductive problem solving, multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or conflicting; advanced data analysis and interpretation skills are required.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
• 8+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10 to 15+ years of product management experience.
- Relevant knowledge of:
- x86/Windows ecosystem.
- AI, Gen-AI technologies, developer tools, workflows, frameworks
- Embedded technologies - CPU/GPU/codecs or related software.
- Experience managing, influencing, negotiating with external partners such as Software developers, OS vendors, middleware/tools providers, OEMs, ODMs, OS vendors, benchmarking companies, open-source packages, and tech press.
- Experience working with operating budgets and/or project financials.
- Experience working in a large matrixed organization.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$196,000.00 - $294,000.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
