General Summary:
Qualcomm is seeking a Director of Finance to oversee all aspects of accounting and reporting for Qualcomm Technology Licensing (QTL), Treasury, and Ventures functions. This includes internal and external reporting, adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and SOX compliance. The role involves acting as the process owner for all key SOX controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee accounting, reporting and SOX controls for QTL, Treasury, and Ventures functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Manage the invoice to cash cycle for licensing revenue
Review transactions and agreements from a Technical Accounting perspective
Develop and manage influential relationships with key stakeholders such as QTL Legal, QTL Licensing Managers, QTL Compliance, Ventures, Treasury, Accounting Practices and Reporting (AP&R), Internal and External Auditors
Support other functions such as Legal, Tax, Financial Reporting and Accounting on an ad hoc basis
Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation, including transitioning work to the General Accounting Operations Center (GAOC) in Hyderabad, India
Develop and manage staff
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 10+ years of Technical Accounting, Financial Reporting, or related work experience.
*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in tech industry, aptitude for systems and accounting process flows.
Big Four Accounting experience.
CPA Certification or country equivalent.
Experience working in a large matrixed organization.
Technical leadership role with or without direct reports.
Candidate Credentials:
Capable of reviewing agreements/ transactions and advising on accounting implications within tight deadlines
Guides, mentors and coaches supervisors/managers who are direct reports.
Experience making decisions that are critical in nature and highly impact program, product, or project success
Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey highly complex and/or detailed information.
Ability to influence executives or high-level stakeholders across functions
Skills to oversee budgets, schedules, and performance standards for multiple functional areas and overall organization are realistically set and attained.
Strong end-to-end process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, project management, and problem-solving skills

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$193,500.00 - $290,300.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
