General Summary:

Qualcomm is looking to hire a Staff Accounting within the Record to Report (R2R) accounting team to work with various corporate functions to support complete and accurate financial reporting. This is a hands-on role as the Operational Process Owner (OPO) for Fixed Assets, Intangible Assets and Leasing. As the OPO this role will oversee and manage the consolidated fixed assets for the company and the financial close process, including:

• Primary partner as the OPO to the Fixed Asset and Leasing team in Hyderabad ensuring accounting processes, fixed asset and leasing systems are designed and executed accurately and timely
• Partner and collaborate with Engineering Asset Management, IT, QREF, and Corporate Tax on process improvement opportunities
• Partner with Technical Accounting fixed asset and lease for non-standard accounting scenarios
• Partnering with the M&A and technical accounting teams to support the fixed asset, intangible and leasing for M&A
• Support month-end and quarter-end close accounting activities including quarterly reporting schedules, fluctuation analysis, and coordination/preparation of executive presentations
• Support SOX Controls, internal audits and our external audit partners
• Support the Fixed Asset and Leasing Policies and Guidelines
• Support trainings and guidance
• Lead process improvements and automations

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• 4+ years of Accounting, Finance, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration/Management, or related field.

• 6+ years of Accounting, Finance, or related work experience.

• CPA Certification or country equivalent.

• 1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).

• 1+ year of experience working in a large matrixed organization.

• 1+ year in a leadership role with or without direct reports.

Level of Responsibility:

• Works independently with minimal supervision.

• Provides supervision to direct reports.

• Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group.

• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information. May require negotiation, influence, tact, etc.

• Develops and administers budgets, schedules, and performance standards for functional area within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department.

• Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions).

• Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$98,000.00 - $147,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
