Qualcomm is looking for an experiences Product Management lead in the Compute Business Unit to help strategize and drive windows API platform offerings and related software platform features and SDKs for Windows on Snapdragon® initiative.

Windows on Snapdragon® initiative is revolutionizing the PC industry. The personal notebook industry is shifting towards these capabilities, and this has created momentum amongst the developer community to adopt this new platform. Windows PC is a development and target platform for millions of software developer community. These developers represent multiple use cases, needs and challenges. To make Snapdragon Compute platform developer ready and to provide developers the access to all the capabilities of Snapdragon, it is important to provide a well thought and developer friendly API platform. With Snapdragon differentiating technologies like Camera, Sensors, A/V, etc become even more important to ensure the power of the hardware is utilized by the ecosystem. More so these APIs need to be complimentary to the offerings in the existing complex Windows PC ecosystem. The role will be central to this movement.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of Core IP technologies like Camera, Audio,Video, Sensors as well developer technologies like Windows APIs, SDKs, tools and dependencies across consumer/enterprise segments of developers. She/he will have hands-on experience and knowledge about the Microsoft and competition offerings in the area of APIs. She/he will work with the internal stakeholders (core technology leads, product, engineering, marketing, business, and program management) and external developers to put together the right requirements and plan for the API platform, SDKs, libraries and tools and features for Compute. She/he will engage with developers and industry partners to analyze new APIs and technical opportunities - new software/hardware requirements, drive execution, and support the go-to-market plans and ISV adoption.
The position requires understanding of PC and Windows, knowledge of technical and business sides of software and application development, proven track record of cross-functional leadership with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The role also requires AI tools, technology and ecosystem knowledge.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Does a thorough market and technical competitive analysis to identify current Qualcomm’s API offerings and gaps. Interact with Microsoft, OEMs, developers and industry experts, partners, to understand their products/roadmaps/strategies, competition, and overall market. Conducts a thorough API market analysis.
Works with internal to understand the Qualcomm software stack and APIs offered for different IP blocks (Camera, A/V, NPU, LPI, GPU, GPS..) and what other platforms like mobile expose today.
Working with multiple product management, engineering, program, marketing, and other business stakeholders executes on the roadmap creating a strong technology impact. Oversees a successful cross-functional collaboration by ensuring the completion of milestones ensuring the completed work aligns with roadmap for a product line(s).
Drives a product launch strategies for new products and technologies through technical marketing opportunities such as conferences, congresses, and direct customer contact and ensures successful product launch.
Making decisions that are significant in impact, influencing overall program or project success, finances, and/or the ability to meet objectives; errors are not readily apparent due to the complexity of work process/product or time between decisions and results; errors typically result in significant expenditure of time, resources, and funds to correct.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands on experience developing Windows APIs and key IP technologies such as Camera, Audio, Video, AI, etc.
AI, Gen-AI technologies, developer tools, workflows, frameworks
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
• 8+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$196,000.00 - $294,000.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
