General Summary:
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Engineer to lead our Edge-Cloud AI projects and initiatives. You will be the technical lead for priority projects, PoC and deploying commercial engagements with key customers. You will manage technical communications in-region and with Qualcomm stakeholders globally. Interface with PdM team, Solutions and CE. Manage X-functional team focusing on solution. You will ideally have extensive experience in AI workload development and deployment in datacentre, and on-prem and edge devices, including hybrid AI.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Technical Leadership: Provide strategic direction, technical leadership and ownership for CloudAI, EdgeAI and HybridAI projects, focusing on delivering solutions to customers and ensuring alignment with business goals.
Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of scalable POC and commercial AI solutions involving various Qualcomm AI HW plaforms and software toolchains.
Innovation: Drive innovation by exploring and implementing cutting-edge AI technologies and methodologies, genAI models, MLOps and related deployment platforms.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams regionally and globally, including engineering, data science, customer engineering, system solutions and product management, to deliver high-quality solutions.
Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior applied AI engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
System Performance Optimization: Develop and monitor AI system level performance; Optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of AI system across various Qualcomm platforms and overall end-to-end solutions.
Customer Engagement: Actively engage with key customers to understand use cases and requirements, provide technical insights, identify and deliver system level solution and ensure successful project delivery.
What are we looking for?
Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in in System Engineering, strong hads-on experience and background in ML SW, AI solutions development and deployment, MLOps, AI agents.
