General Summary:
You will be part of Automotive System Performance team that is responsible for analyzing and optimizing Power/Thermal performance on Snapdragon Automotive chipsets.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting hardware validation, Voltage optimization and Thermal characterization on silicon for various System and IP cores (CPU, GPU, NSP, MM, Memory etc.)
Perform detailed analysis of operating Voltages for SoC Rails and optimize them using QCom IP core.
Perform Rail-wise Voltage analysis across Auto temp range and Split parts
Analyze Current, Voltage and overall, Power using Power Measurement tools for SoC IP cores using different workloads.
Detailed analysis of Platform Thermal using on-die and on-board thermal sensors and corelate them against the design estimates.
Analyze and optimize Platform Thermal using various Thermal mitigation knobs in SW and Thermal solution in HW.
Debug System level Power and Thermal issues which require a good understanding of SoC Architecture, Active/Idle system Power concepts, System Thermal with different HW/SW solutions etc.
Develop Automation framework for Voltage and Thermal tests using Python
Minimum Qualifications
6+ years of industry experience in the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Computers or Electronics Engineering.
Experience working on any ARM/x86 based platforms, mobile/automotive operating systems and/or Power/Thermal measurement tools.
Good understanding of Computer Architecture and SoC Cores (CPU, GPU, NSP, Memory, etc.)
Experience in Python scripting to work on Automation of tests.
Must be quick learner and should be able to adapt to new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional skills in the following areas are preferred:
Ability to create professional quality reports and slides using MSOffice or any advanced visualization tools.
Candidates with Power and Performance experience is preferred.
Experience in PoC development and competitive analysis.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
