Description

We are seeking a highly skilled EDA License Engineer to join our dynamic team, where you will play a critical role in the management and optimization of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) licenses. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the licensing of EDA tools, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements, and driving the effective allocation of licenses in alignment with project requirements. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for all inquiries related to EDA licensing, providing support to engineers and other stakeholders throughout the organization. You will also have the opportunity to analyze license usage trends, recommend improvements, and implement strategies to maximize the efficiency of our EDA resources. To excel in this role, you should possess a strong technical background in EDA tools, coupled with excellent communication and organizational skills. Your expertise will contribute to the seamless operation of our design processes, facilitating innovation and maintaining the quality of our electronic products. As a key member of our engineering team, you will work closely with various departments to ensure that all licensing needs are met, while supporting the overall goals and objectives of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 1+ year of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for EDA License in “24x7” model.
  • Manage and oversee the licensing of EDA tools within the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with vendor licensing agreements and policies.
  • Analyze and optimize EDA license allocation based on project demands and usage trends.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all inquiries related to EDA licenses and usage.
  • Monitor license usage to identify under-utilized resources and recommend reallocation strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to troubleshoot licensing issues , installation of licenses, management of options file and audit the inventories.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to license inventory, usage reports, and compliance audits.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple licenses effectively.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ Years of experience in managing EDA licenses (FLEXlm,RLM) and tools, preferably in a similar role.
  • Experience in working on ServiceNow ticketing tool.
  • Strong understanding of electronic design workflows and EDA vendor products.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools like Splunk, Tableau to track and report license usage trends.
