As part of the DSP Platform Software Team, you will develop embedded software across all levels of the stack on Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. This includes designing and implementing inter-processor communication, memory management mechanisms, execution environments, concurrency management, and other software frameworks that enable DSP acceleration for machine learning inference, computer vision, image/video processing, sensors, IoT, automotive, audio, and more.

We are looking for enthusiastic, versatile, and self-motivated engineers who are ready to take on exciting technical challenges and grow into system-level contributors.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate embedded DSP software features in C/C++ for real-time systems.

  • Participate in the design and implementation of inter-processor communication and memory management mechanisms.

  • Assist in debugging, profiling, and optimizing software for performance and power efficiency.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DSP software into broader system frameworks.

  • Contribute to code reviews, regression testing, and issue triage to ensure software quality.

  • Write technical documentation for software components and development processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 1+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python.

  • Experience and interest in embedded debugging, profiling, and performance optimization.

  • Solid background in computer architecture and real-time operating systems.

  • Familiarity with multi-threaded programming and hardware driver development.

  • Exposure to inter-processor communication and multimedia software development on Android, Windows, or Linux.

  • Versatile attitude to learn new languages, architectures, and operating systems.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

  • Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information.

  • Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$94,200.00 - $141,200.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
