Qualcomm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior WLAN Software Engineer to join our Automotive Platform team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and debugging of WLAN software solutions on Linux-based automotive platforms. This role requires hands-on expertise in Linux kernel and user space programming, advanced debugging skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain WLAN software components for automotive platforms.
Work extensively with Linux kernel and user space, focusing on networking and driver development.
Analyze and resolve complex issues in Linux kernel and user space, including deadlocks, kernel panics, and oops scenarios.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Communicate effectively via emails and meetings, ensuring clear understanding of technical context and requirements.
Take ownership of assigned tasks and drive them to closure with minimal supervision.
Adapt to high-pressure situations and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Generate artifacts such as design documents and RFCs from high level requirements, with minimal support.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Linux kernel and user space development.
Strong understanding of threads, processes, and interrupt handling concepts.
Proven experience in debugging complex Linux kernel and user space issues.
Excellent kernel programming skills and familiarity with Linux kernel APIs.
Mandatory experience in Linux network driver development.
Good exposure to Wi-Fi protocol stack like mac80211/cfg80211, or any other Wi-Fi stack.
Outstanding communication skills—both written and verbal.
Self-driven, motivated, and able to work independently.
Willingness to work in a high-pressure, multi-tasking environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with automotive platforms and WLAN technologies.
Exposure to Qualcomm chipsets and software stacks.
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in automotive networking.
