The candidate will support key export compliance program elements consistent with export and reexport regulations of the US as well as regulations of Europe, Israel, Canada and other countries where Qualcomm operates, collaboratively work with the global Export Compliance team and internal functional groups such as Customer Service, Sales, Program Management, Engineering, Logistics and Distribution Center, to execute on established export compliance operations processes supporting applicable export regulations.
Responsibilities
• Support the application of export licenses, including collecting end user undertakings, and other supporting documentation (UK, Israel, France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Canada etc.).
• Documenting and implementing licenses and their conditions in the trade export systems, Sales force, SharePoint etc.
• Support EMEA team on export licensing Government reporting requirements with multiple countries (UK, France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Canada etc.).
• Conduct customer/supplier due diligence screen process, such as US and international country denied party screen, reviewing partners export compliance assurance documents.
• Support and participate in export compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with international business team on export compliance required screening documents.
• Support the review and elaboration of internal procedures and work instructions.
Skills and Experience
• Regulatory knowledge and experience in EU, US, UK, Wassenaar and other countries export laws and regulations.
• French encryption regulations knowledge.
• Experience with export control review of the company’s tangible and intangible export transactions.
• Knowledge of customer/supplier due diligence screening process, such as RPL (restricted party list), end-use, end-user and know your customer process.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to manage data from multiple sources and interpret requirements and regulations.
• Communicate efficiently and effectively, conveying information clearly, accurately verbally and in written materials.
• Manage priorities of multiple complex tasks.
• Experience of Trade export systems.
• Excellent communication and written skills in English. French language is a plus.
Required Qualifications
• 1-3 years’ experience with EU, US and other Wassenaar export control.
• Bachelor’s degree in international business, international trade, law degree or a related degree and/or business equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Working knowledge / experience in telecommunications, information security, cryptography, electronics, integrated circuits, and computer export controls.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Export or Sanctions Compliance, International Affairs, or related work experience.
OR
Associate's degree in Business Administration/Management, International Business, Law, Electronic/Telecom Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of Export or Sanctions Compliance, International Affairs, or related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of Export or Sanctions Compliance, International Affairs, or related work experience.
*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
