General Summary:
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Game Studio is seeking a highly skilled and passionate engineer with hands-on experience in developing content and custom plugins for the Unity game engine. This role is pivotal in driving the implementation of cutting-edge features and performance optimizations that elevate gaming experiences on Snapdragon-powered devices.
As a key contributor to our team, you will focus on leveraging GPU and NPU capabilities to enhance graphics fidelity, responsiveness, and overall gameplay performance within Unity. Your work will directly impact the delivery of premium gaming experiences across mobile, PC, and XR platforms.

Our highly creative teams are full of veteran game developers, artists, game engine experts and graphics enthusiasts who work on our latest gaming hardware innovations around mobile, PC, and XR.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Solid understanding of both C++ and C#
- Proven experience with Unity game engine development, including plugin creation and engine-level customization.
- Solid 3D graphics related mathematics background
- Familiarity with at least one major GPU programming API such as Vulkan, DirectX, or OpenGL
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfortable working in large unfamiliar codebases
- Familiarity with 3D graphics profilers and debuggers such as Snapdragon Profiler, RenderDoc, Pix, NSight, etc…
- Familiar with modern PC/console game engine architecture
- Fundamental understanding of machine learning concepts and applications
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$134,800.00 - $202,200.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
