Job Summary:

Qualcomm is seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team in Beijing. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable infrastructure and automation pipelines to support the development, and monitoring of machine learning and AI systems. You will work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and system architects to streamline workflows and ensure high availability, performance, and security of our platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for software and ML model deployment.
  • Automate model training, validation, packaging, and deployment workflows.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DevOps and MLOps best practices.
  • Manage cloud and on-premise environments (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, or internal platforms).
  • Ensure compliance with security and data governance policies.
  • Support experimentation platforms and ML lifecycle management tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Weights & Biases).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, MLOps, or related infrastructure roles.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, YAML).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of ML workflows and tools used in model development and deployment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ML platforms such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or ONNX.
  • Hands-on experience with ML lifecycle tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker).
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Experience working in a hybrid cloud/on-prem environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with Qualcomm’s AI stack or embedded ML deployment is a plus.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
