As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems that launch cutting-edge, world class products. Qualcomm Hardware Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
General Summary:

As a Qualcomm Firmware validator, you will design, develop, create, modify C++ testcases to verify embedded firmware, applications, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class CPU products that meet and exceed customer needs. Qualcomm Firmware Validator collaborate with hardware, architecture, and post silicon teams to verify CPU based firmware along with hardware on a GIT repo .
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in engineering, Computer architecture, Digital Design, Electronic Circuits or related field.
• Firmware & Hardware Validation related work experience.
• Decent Experience in System Verilog and C++ based test bench environment .
• Work experience with Git, Perforce, or Source Code Management System.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Applies Firmware and Hardware knowledge to design, develop, create, modify tests to validate embedded firmware, applications, and/or specialized utility programs.
• Analyzes user needs and firmware requirements to design and customize firmware for optimal operational efficiency.
Developing detailed Test and Coverage plans based on the Architecture and Micro-architecture.
Developing Verification environment, including all the respective components such as Stimulus, Checkers, Assertions, Trackers, and Coverage.
Developing Verification Plans and Testbenches for your functional domain.
Executing Verification Plans, including DV environment Bring-up, Regressions enabling all features under your care, and Debug of the test failures.
Tracking and report DV progress using a variety of metrics, including Bugs and Coverage.
Level of Responsibility:
Experience in Functional verification by writing Test plans, portable Testbenches, Transactors, and Assembly code for CPU validation
Experience with different Verification Methodologies and Tools such as VCS Simulators, Coverage collection, Debug Techniques, Waveform viewers.
Ability to develop and work independently on a Block/Unit of the design.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Firmware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Firmware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Firmware Engineering or related work experience.
• 3 - 8 years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Python, Perl, System Verilog, Debugging techniques, etc.
