Job Overview :

Qualcomm India Bangalore Development Center is expanding its Connected Infotainment team as part of a global Qualcomm Automotive initiative. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge display technologies integrated into next-generation vehicles. As part of Qualcomm’s mission to redefine the digital cockpit experience, you will contribute to the development of high-performance display systems that enhance safety, usability, and entertainment for drivers and passengers. From multi-display rendering to real-time graphics optimization, your work will help shape the visual interface of tomorrow’s connected cars.

Minimum Qualifications :

Experience: 10-14 years of hands-on experience in embedded software and/or driver development.

Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in C/C++ is mandatory.

System Knowledge: Practical experience with device driver programming in Linux or RTOS environments such as QNX, LRH.

Debugging & Analysis: Excellent analytical and debugging skills, with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Collaboration: Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to work effectively across global teams and time zones.

Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with industry-standard development tools including debuggers, version control systems (e.g., GIT, Perforce), IDEs, performance tools (Momentics, ftrace, Systrace) and build tools.

Preferred Qualifications :

Develop and optimize display subsystems for Qualcomm SoCs (Snapdragon platforms).

Work on display bring-up, pixel composition, color processing, and interfaces (MIPI DSI, HDMI, DisplayPort).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, graphics, camera, GPU) for seamless integration.

Debug real-time issues reported by OEMs during vehicle test drives.

Participate in test development and automation to improve coverage and efficiency.

Engage in customer-facing roles for issue triage, feature customization, and certification support.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

Ensure compliance with Functional Safety standards (ISO26262, ASPICE) and coding guidelines (MISRA-C).

Work on performance profiling, optimizations, and next-gen hardware enablement.

Solid working knowledge of Android Display Architecture. Deep understanding of Android Display Google’s Framework, including Composer HAL, SurfaceFlinger Buffer queues, DRM-KMS, and OpenWFD or similar display driver standards. Strong grasp of display hardware processing and various RGB & YUV color formats. exposure to display protocols such as MIPI DSI, eDP, HDMI, and DisplayPort. Knowledge of display calibration, HDR, and power management techniques is desirable. Deep understanding of pixel/overlay blending. Exposure to display usecases like Secure overlay, DRM, protected content playback is a plus

Minimum Qualifications:

OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
