General Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient AI Pipeline Evaluation Engineer to assess, benchmark, and validate AI/ML pipelines across a variety of use cases. This role is essential to ensuring the robustness, reliability, and efficiency of AI workflows from data ingestion to model deployment. You will collaborate with data scientists, MLOps engineers, and product teams to evaluate end-to-end pipeline performance and suggest improvements.

Key Responsibilities

· Evaluate the architecture, performance, and scalability of AI/ML pipelines across different environments (e.g., edge/on-premise, cloud, hybrid).

· Design and execute tests to validate pipeline components such as data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment.

· Analyze model performance in production, monitor drift, and ensure reproducibility and compliance with best practices.

· Identify bottlenecks or failure points in the pipeline and work with relevant teams to resolve issues.

· Establish and maintain metrics and benchmarks for AI pipeline health, including latency, throughput, and accuracy.

· Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing of evaluation methodologies, tools, and best practices.

· Ensure that AI pipelines follow responsible AI practices including fairness, explainability, and auditability.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

· 2+ years of experience working with AI/ML pipelines in production settings.

· Strong understanding of MLOps tools and frameworks (e.g., Argo workflow, Airflow, MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker).

· Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries (e.g., PyTorch, onnxruntime, scikit-learn, pandas).

· Experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (Kubernetes).

· Familiarity with model evaluation techniques and statistical performance metrics.

· Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).

· Knowledge of CI/CD for ML workflows.

· Understanding of data privacy and AI governance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, or similar).

· Background in performance tuning and profiling of AI workloads.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$111,300.00 - $166,900.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
