Position Summary:

Qualcomm is seeking an experienced business leader to join the Business Development team in China to drive the corporate level collaborations and business strategy with leading Cloud Service Providers (e.g. CSPs such as Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, Bytedance, etc.) to manage overall account strategy, develop and orchestrate the corporate level partnership with CSPs. The ideal candidates will have a strong track record in growing a business, familiarity and senior level connection with China Cloud Service Providers, and out-of-the-box thinking capability to create and implement new business models. The candidate will work with China leadership team, product marketing, business unit, sales and customer engineering teams at Qualcomm, along with ecosystem partners, to advocate and drive new Qualcomm technologies into our customers, to match customer opportunities with product requirements, and untimely drive adoptions of Qualcomm products and solutions. This is a team leadership role that required ability to lead a cross functional, highly matrixed organization across multiple disciplines to achieve business results.

Job Description:

Qualcomm is seeking an experienced business leader to join the Business Development team in China to drive the cooperate level collaborations and business strategy with leading Cloud Service Providers (e.g. CSPs such as Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, Bytedance, etc.) to manage overall account strategy, develop and orchestrate the corporate level partnership with CSPs.

The ideal candidates will have a strong track record in growing a business, familiarity and senior level connection with China Cloud Service Providers, and out-of-the-box thinking capability to create and implement new business models. The candidates will be working with those internet companies to explore potential business opportunities like growing XR volume, strengthening gaming engagement and AI models engagement, and exploring potential opportunities on data center.

The candidate will work with China leadership team, product marketing, business unit, sales and customer engineering teams at Qualcomm, along with ecosystem partners, to advocate and drive new Qualcomm technologies into our customers, to match customer opportunities with product requirements, and untimely drive adoptions of Qualcomm products and solutions. The candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements and specifications with hyperscale customer partners and working with customers on solution vision, use case and success metrics.

This is a team leadership role that requires ability to lead a cross functional, highly matrixed organization across multiple disciplines to achieve business results.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field of study
  • 15+ years of overall industry experience; with relevant CSP account Sales and Business Development experience. With project management and technical presales experiences a plus
  • 10+ years of business development or sales management experience.
  • 6+ years of leadership experience.
  • Deep understanding of China Cloud Service Providers business model, product solutions and procurement strategy.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or MBA
  • 20+ years of overall industry experience; with relevant CSP account Sales and Business Development experience. With project management and technical presales experiences are plus.
  • Strong industry connection in Edge Comupte, AI, PC, AR/VR, Cloud Services, and IOT ecosystem.
  • Strong product management experience and technical background.
  • Able to work across multi-functions/multi-individuals to achieve desired results.
  • Able to travel extensively both domestically and internationally.
  • Excellent communication skills – must be able to speak fluently in Mandarin and English.
  • Ability to evolve and develop the overall sales strategy and model for cloud services
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with customers and partners at the ‘CxO’ level.
  • Highly trusted individual who maintains and expects high standards for themselves and their team, putting compliance with business conduct guidelines at the center of doing business.
  • Consultative sales experience especially in technology adoption of cloud services in the infrastructure space.
  • Strong knowledge of the hosting services and cloud services segment in the China market.
  • Strategic thinker with a sales mentality, as well as analytical ability and a proven ability to execute strategy.
  • Contract MOU negotiation and deal forecasting experience.
