As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class products that meet and exceed customer needs. Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.Interested in being a part of the 5G revolution, but don’t have prior experience in wireless communication? Then this might be the perfect place to get started! We are looking for an Engineer who loves solving technical problems, writing embedded C code and continuously optimizing their work. In this role, you will developing features in Modem Common Services (S/W embedded) for various Wireless technologies including 5G, 4G and GPS.
Modem Common Software (MCS) team builds common set of services that are essential for all wireless technologies (e.g. 4G, 5G, GPS) to work and also coexist. The role requires design and development of features in MCS Coexistence area as well as debugging and supporting feature testing till commercialization. It is a challenging position requiring strong embedded SW design and development skills. It provides the opportunity to work on new and exciting features and designs that are on the cutting edge of wireless communication.
Required Skills:
• Master’s in Computer Science with 0-2 years of experience
• Mandatory courses: Data structures, C/C++/Python Programming, Algorithms, Operating Systems, Algebra, Computer Architecture
• Must have strong programming skills in C
• Excellent programming and software design skills, including debugging, analysis, and test design
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and team player.
