General Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and pro-active Corporate Tax Analyst to join our EMEA tax team. This role will primarily support the company’s direct tax compliance, reporting and planning activities for the Qualcomm entities in Germany. They will work closely with the regional tax and finance teams as well as the functional tax and trade teams (Provision, Planning, Domestic, and Trade) in managing and providing a coordinated and proactive approach on tax topics/projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with direct tax reporting (US GAAP and local GAAP) and compliance for the Qualcomm Germany entities. This includes supporting the Director - Tax in managing and working with external advisors for preparation of all aspects of the Germany corporate income tax returns.

  • Supporting the EMEA tax team with managing and working with external advisors for tax compliance and related activities for Qualcomm entities in Austria and Switzerland.

  • Assist with transfer pricing documentation, intercompany transactions and local file preparation

  • Monitor changes in German and EU tax legislation and asses their impact on the business.

  • Collaborate with external advisors and internal stakeholders on tax audits and inquiries

  • Support compliance with U.S. and Local tax regulations (e.g. MDR, SOX, SAF-T, Pillar 2).

  • Support any local and international projects arising from supply chain changes, M&A, business transformations or external law changes (e.g. BEPS, tax reforms etc)

  • Support simplification initiatives including legal entity simplification and improving processes that are owned by and/or impact tax

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree

  • 2-5 years of experience in corporate tax, preferably in a multinational or Big 4 environment.

  • Knowledge of German tax law and international tax principles.

  • Tax accounting and reporting experience and understanding of accounting pronouncements

  • Familiarity with US GAAP and ASC 740 is a plus.

  • Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and tax reporting tools is a plus.

  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.
