**Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top-Secret clearance**
A successful candidate will perform component and system level debug and integration, of RF, analog, and Digital systems.
Requirements: Circuit and system level tests, including set-up and execution of complex automated tests, set-up and calibration of test racks, report generation, and presentation. They will also be required to provide feedback and assistance to design engineers.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the execution of moderately complex software and hardware test plans with minimal supervision.
- Applies foundational knowledge of test methodologies and engineering principles to validate electronic hardware, embedded systems, and software components.
- Interprets device specifications and system requirements to assist with test cases, and automation script execution
- Setup and configure labs and lab setups, and maintain lab equipment
- Assists in evaluating complex system behaviors to detect potential issues such as hardware/software integration flaws, compatibility concerns, and compliance deviations.
- Maintains test procedures, configurations, and results; maintains accurate records of test setups, revisions, and outcomes.
- Troubleshoots software and hardware issues during testing phases, proposes solutions, and captures lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Provides technical support to internal engineering teams, contributing to root cause analysis and resolution of test-related challenges.
- Leads small-scale test initiatives or projects with minimal oversight, ensuring timely and quality delivery of results.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach to learning about company products, tools, and testing frameworks.
- Stays informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software and hardware testing.
- Assists in specialized testing and analysis activities such as signal integrity, power validation, teardown assessments, and system-level debugging under guidance from senior engineers.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams including software developers, hardware engineers, system architects, and customer support to ensure robust test coverage and product quality.
- The ability to specify, setup and maintain testing environments which contain RF enclosures, centralized RF cabling distributions , antennas, and commercial and specialized test equipment that may require periodic calibration.
- Development, maintenance and the ability to execute factory level manual or automated Acceptance Test Procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of Support Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Associate's degree and 2+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.
*Completed advanced degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one year (Master’s = one year) of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
- Certification in Electronics or related area.
- Military experience or training in electronics field (Rank E5+ 2 years).
- 4+ years of experience with digital HW, SW, and/or analog RF troubleshooting and debugging.
- 4+ years of experience in a lab environment.
- 2+ years in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
- 2+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
- Good communication and excellent organizational skills.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$34.19 - $51.29
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
