General Summary:
Qualcomm Camera Systems team creates embedded imaging solutions for Snapdragon chipsets that power advanced mobile devices.
Our solutions leverage dedicated hardware, multi-core processors, DSP, and GPU cores to provide state-of-the-art photographs, video recordings, as well as scene data for image understanding and object detection.
Responsibilities include the following:
Research and development camera features and image quality improvement
Prototype solutions on mobile platforms for proof of concept and demonstration purposes
Deployment of solutions that improve the mobile imaging experience.
Improve the camera systems that balance memory bandwidth, processing latency, and power consumption
Collaborate with other teams to commercialize the technologies and provide strong customer support to enable the best camera quality.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelors in, Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Masters or Doctorate, Computer Science, and/or Electrical Engineering
Minimum Skills
Hands-on experience in signal and image processing, including IQ tuning
Strong knowledge of camera systems and image processing technologies
Expertise in designing and implementing camera AF algorithms
Solid analytical and mathematical problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or similar
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
