As a member of the Audio Software development team at Qualcomm, you will have the opportunity to work with an international teams of systems and software engineers to develop cutting edge audio technology employed by a wide array of machine learning enhanced smart devices. The Audio Software team drives the feature design, development, integration, and commercialization of audio software running on Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors.
Responsibilities:
This role requires a candidate to perform high-level requirements analysis, derive detailed engineering specifications, and design and implement frameworks, drivers and DSP modules for advanced embedded Voice/Audio software. The solutions will support use cases such as Voice Wakeup, Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Translation, and Text-to-Speech (TTS) on Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, meeting stringent performance, latency, power, robustness, and stability.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 + years of Embedded Software development with relevant industry experience.
- Proficient in C/C++ programming with proven experience writing highly efficient code for embedded systems and multi-threaded environments.
- Solid understanding of computer architecture (ARM processors or similar), real-time operating systems (RTOS), concurrency/multi-threading, and fundamental data structures & algorithms.
- Proven ability to design, debug and document complex software systems.
- Strong communication skills and experience working in a collaborative environment.
- Background and experience in one of the following areas:
- Hands-on experience with speech/audio processing frameworks and pipeline implementation with Android or Embedded Linux, RTOS
- Expertise in enabling Voice Wakeup, ASR, Translation, TTS usecases
- Experience in Audio/Video pre- and post-processing algorithms - such as: ECNS, ANC, speech recognition, natural language recognition, multi-mic, multi-speaker algorithms, etc
- Previous experience working with Qualcomm Snapdragon audio DSP frameworks or similar SoC audio architecture.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
