General Summary:

Position Overview

The VP of Global Planning is a senior leadership position within the supply chain organization responsible for constructing a long-term operational plan in line with corporate strategy and goals. The position will be instrumental in delivering quarterly revenue and inventory targets in line with corporate expectations. The position will also communicate continuously with the executive team, global sales, business units and supply chain teams to ensure alignment of operational plan to strategic requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Corporate wide S&OP process, demand forecasting, supply capacity planning, inventory control, supply chain systems enhancement, product and master data functions within a complex and dynamic large-scale corporate environment
  • Allocating resources and products across a wide range of competing needs in line with corporate strategy using a collaborative process with other functional departments
  • Change management and communication for the supply chain group and project management of process related improvement initiatives
  • S&OP process leadership and continuous improvement
  • Corporate wide demand consolidation and statistical forecasting
  • Rationalizing supply capacity statement vs demand, providing expansion capital justifications
  • Managing product/ supply chain data and reporting
  • Managing a team of direct reports, providing ongoing communication, performance feedback, and creating an inclusive and collaborative environment
  • Advanced Master Planning system settings and enhancements

Knowledge & Skills

  • Expertise in Advance Master Planning in a large corporate, multiple business unit environment utilizing Kinaxis Maestro or similar ERP
  • Must be able to communicate effectively at executive and functional work levels
  • Full understanding of master planning with rationalized and time bound supply capacity
  • Knowledge of semiconductor product data requirements and systems
  • Knowledge of program management and project prioritization methodologies
  • Ability to understand supply chain requirements in detail, participate in solution development within the time and resource constraints of the situation
  • Ability to create complex and multi-layered strategy within supply chain systems that aligns with corporate strategies and objectives over time

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial/Production Engineering, Business Administration, or related field and 15+ years of supply chain, operations, procurement, industrial engineering, or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Industrial/Production Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 15+ years of supply chain, operations planning, or industrial engineering experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Semiconductor, Electronics Contract Manufacturing, or related industry.
  • 10+ years in a leadership role with or without direct reports
  • Experience with Kinaxis Maestro planning, Agile product data, and Oracle business suite applications.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$255,800.00 - $383,800.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
