General Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Director to lead our Test organisation responsible for validating deliverables across automotive telematics, cockpit, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) platforms. This strategic role is pivotal in shaping the vision for our quality assurance function, ensuring robust quality standards are consistently met, and driving excellence in product delivery. The Senior Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and interface directly with customers to guarantee that our solutions meet and exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Test organisation, aligning quality objectives with overall business goals.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor the delivery of all products and solutions, ensuring that commitments are met and quality goals are achieved across telematics, cockpit, and ADAS platforms.
  • Organisational Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of test professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Product, Programme Management, and other key stakeholders to influence design, development, and deployment processes, ensuring quality is embedded throughout.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as the primary quality interface with customers, understanding their requirements, addressing concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction with validated deliverables.
  • Process Improvement: Champion best practices in testing methodologies, automation, and validation, driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Establish, track, and report on key quality metrics and KPIs, providing visibility to senior leadership and making data-driven decisions.
  • Risk Management: Identify quality risks early in the lifecycle and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely and defect-free deliveries.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 10+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 9+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 4+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • Extensive experience in leading large-scale test organisations within the automotive domain, with a focus on telematics, cockpit or ADAS platforms.
  • Proven track record of setting vision and strategy for quality assurance and delivering against challenging commitments.
  • Strong background in modern testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and validation processes.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with customers, understand their needs, and deliver exceptional service.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced qualifications are advantageous.

Location & Travel

This role is based in Bangalore, with occasional travel required to customer sites and global offices.
