General Summary:
As a Staff Engineer in the Host Software team for Confidential Compute, you will design and implement secure host-side software components that enable confidential workloads on advanced hardware platforms. This role focuses on Linux system software development and integration with Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) for secure inference and compute.
Please note this role will require 5 days per week onsite in our Cork office*
Key Responsibilities:

Host Stack Development:
Design, implement and optimize host drivers and libraries for confidential compute workloads.
Desing and development test cases for CI (Contiguous Integration).

Security & Attestation:
Implement mechanisms for device attestation, lifecycle management, and secure interface configuration.
Collaborate on PCIe firewall and memory/register protection features.

Performance & Debug:
Address host-side issues such as boot log transfers, PCI link retrain, and overflow handling.
Optimize host stack for AI inference workloads .
Preferred Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in Linux system software (including kernel/driver) development.
Strong proficiency in C/C++, Python, git, debugging tools, and performance tuning on Linux.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (Docker, KVM, SR-IOV) and confidential computing frameworks.
Knowledge of cryptographic protocols and secure device management.
Proficiency in communication and documentation.
Experience with AI/ML workload optimization on secure platforms.
Contributions to open-source kernel or confidential computing projects.
Linux system administration experience.
Working knowledge of PCIE3.0+.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
