General Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned XR Software Engineer to lead the development of production-quality software for next-generation XR platforms, including AR/VR/MR applications and AI-powered smart glasses. This role combines deep technical expertise in XR with strong leadership and AI/ML capabilities to deliver immersive, intelligent experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development
Build robust, maintainable, and efficient software components for XR platforms.
Implement AR/VR/MR features that meet production-quality standards.
Implement AI/ML-driven use cases such as computer vision, natural language interaction, and contextual intelligence.
Leadership
Lead and mentor a team of 5+ engineers, driving technical excellence and innovation.
Define development processes, ensure timely delivery, and foster a collaborative environment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with hardware, firmware, and product teams to translate use-case requirements into technical specifications.
Engage early with customers and product management to align platform capabilities with market needs.
Quality Assurance
Conduct thorough code reviews, regression testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Maintain continuous integration and testing pipelines for XR software.
Performance Optimization
Analyze system performance and optimize for power, latency, and efficiency across heterogeneous architectures (CPU, GPU, DSP, accelerators).
Research & Innovation
Investigate emerging XR technologies and contribute to architectural decisions, including software/hardware partitioning.
Stay ahead of industry trends and continuously improve XR software solutions.
Contribute to architectural trade-offs and SW/HW partitioning for AI workloads.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
12+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on systems programming.
Proficiency in C and C++, writing clean, maintainable, and idiomatic code.
Experience with multi-core programming on heterogeneous architectures (CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, accelerators).
Solid understanding of real-time systems, graphics pipelines, and XR frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience with XR SDKs (e.g., OpenXR, ARCore, ARKit) and game engines (Unity, Unreal).
Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and deployment on edge devices.
Knowledge of computer vision, sensor fusion, and spatial computing.
Familiarity with low-level hardware interfaces and embedded systems.
Strong debugging skills and experience with performance profiling tools.
Soft Skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
