Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field

• 9+ years of experience with software development in developing C/C++. Scripting in Python is a plus.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Description:

The role of a Display Lead will be to contribute to Qualcomm’s Display subsystem on Snapdragon Wearable platforms. We are looking for a professional who is adaptable, quick learner and can contribute to design, development, and enhancements of RTOS display drivers on wearable platform. Candidates shall require demonstrating technical capabilities while being closely involved in implementation of new features and test-driven enhancements in the Display software in a fast-paced development environment.

Requirements

  • Expertise in display technology and conversant with display concepts like frame composition and transfer, framebuffer, color formats, font rendering, GPU understanding, is required. Working experience on Vector Graphics, and UI frameworks such as SKIA, PELE, LVGL, MicroEJ is a plus.
  • Experience with Qualcomm Q6 / Hexagon software, multimedia, display, graphics is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of I2C, QSPI, DSI, SPI protocols is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of ARM architecture especially Cortex-M series, and RISC-V architecture desired
  • Extensive on-chip application development experience with a clear understanding of chip development life cycle and exposure to SoCs, peripherals and embedded environments.
  • Knowledge of RTOS based environments required. Exposure to working with FreeRTOS/ Zephyr is highly desired.
  • Exposure to working on FPGA based emulation setups, debugging tools and use of utilities like logic analyzer, oscilloscope, JTAG interfaces over Lauterbach/J-Link.
  • Excellent trouble shooting and analytical skills that may be applied to resolve potential system issues
