Qualcomm is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Security Engineer to lead a global team of software security engineers in developing the next generation of Qualcomm Security Tools. This role is ideal for a technically strong leader with a passion for secure software development and a proven track record in managing distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a global team of software security engineers.
Drive the design, development, and maintenance of Qualcomm’s security tooling infrastructure.
Collaborate across time zones and teams to ensure alignment and delivery of high-quality, secure software.
Shape technical direction and enforce best practices in code quality, testing, and security.
Coordinate with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.
Ensure timely delivery of features and fixes through effective sprint planning and execution.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of industry experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, git workflows, and build systems.
Solid understanding of software security principles and practices.
Experience working with cryptographic technologies such as OpenSSL, ECDSA, and RSA.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Secure bootloader and binary authentication process.
Experience with ARM processors and embedded systems development.
Familiarity with the full product development lifecycle.
Hands-on experience with device drivers and peripheral integration.
Proficiency in debugging tools and techniques, especially for embedded systems.
Strong C/C++ programming skills and experience with RTOS (preferably Linux).

Prior experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors, and smart device platforms.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
