General Summary:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in embedded software/firmware development, with significant focus on Wi‑Fi or other wireless technologies.
- Strong proficiency in C for embedded systems; good understanding of real‑time constraints, memory/performance optimization.
- Solid knowledge of 802.11 protocols and Wi‑Fi stack (MAC state machines, management/control frames, scanning, association, roaming, security, QoS).
- Experience with RTOS or bare‑metal firmware on SoCs / MCUs.
- Experience debugging low‑level firmware issues with tools such as JTAG, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, and internal debug logs.
- Strong understanding of:
- Interrupt handling, DMA, timers, power management.
- Hardware–software interfaces, register programming, and driver/firmware interaction.
- Proven ability to own features independently and drive complex issues to closure.
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have
- Experience with advanced Wi‑Fi features:
- 802.11ax/11be (OFDMA, MU‑MIMO, TWT, MLO, spatial reuse).
- Dual‑band simultaneous (DBS), multi‑band operations (MBO), advanced roaming.
- Experience with coexistence (Wi‑Fi/BT/LTE/UWB) algorithms.
- Familiarity with Linux Wi‑Fi host drivers (e.g., qcacld/ath11k/etc.) and host–firmware interfaces (WMI/HTT or similar).
- Experience in power optimization for battery‑operated/IoT devices.
- Exposure to customer‑facing bring‑up, field issue debug, or interoperability testing.
- Contributions to Wi‑Fi standards, open‑source drivers, or internal architecture frameworks.
- Strong communication skills and prior experience as a technical lead / mentor.
