General Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Datacenter Business Unit (BU) finance team, supporting strategic initiatives and operational execution. This role will focus on financial planning, analysis, and reporting to enable data-driven decision-making and optimize resource allocation for the AI Datacenter business.

The Person
We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional with strong business acumen and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in FP&A, financial modeling, expense planning and cross-functional collaboration, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive financial planning and forecasting processes for the Datacenter BU.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decisions.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, variance analyses, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Operating expense management and engineering roadmap product planning which includes headcount, non-labor and capital/depreciation
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Sales, Operations) to align financial goals with business objectives.
  • Support investment evaluations, ROI analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and GAAP standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Preferred Experience

  • Strong background in FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance.
  • Experience with operating expenses, capital expenditures, engineering roadmaps, and workforce planning.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (TM1, Tableau, Oracle, AWS or similar).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Semiconductor or high-tech industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Uses AI in daily work product to enhance analysis, reporting, and decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 6+ years of relevant finance experience.
  • Experience interacting with senior leadership.
  • Familiarity with Datacenter operations and supply chain considerations is a plus.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$88,000.00 - $132,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
