Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.

Role Overview:

We are looking for experienced engineers with strong expertise in FPGA Prototyping and Emulation to join our team at Qualcomm Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building, validating, and debugging complex SoC/IP designs using FPGA prototyping and emulation platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain FPGA-based prototypes and emulation environments for SoC/IP validation.

  • Integrate and validate high-speed and low-speed interfaces on emulation/FPGA platforms.

  • Collaborate with design and verification teams to ensure functional correctness and performance.

  • Debug hardware/software issues and provide timely solutions.

  • Optimize prototyping/emulation flows for faster turnaround and improved coverage.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Emulation and FPGA Prototyping.

  • Good understanding of FPGA architecture, RTL design (Verilog/SystemVerilog), integration, and static timing analysis.

  • Familiarity with high-speed and low speed protocols such as PCIe, UFS, USB, EMAC, I2C, SPI, UART.

  • Familiarity with DDR interfaces and memory subsystem integration.

  • Hands-on experience with FPGA prototyping and/or Emulation platforms.

  • Good understanding of SoC architecture and verification methodologies.

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, TCL) for automation.

  • Exposure to software bring-up on FPGA/emulation platforms.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
