Job Responsibilities

1. Manage Water System Operations & Reliability: Oversee continuous and compliant operation of water plants, ensuring adherence to industry standards, environmental regulations, and internal quality requirements. Monitor system performance metrics and troubleshooting issues to maintain continuous and efficient operations.

2. Water Contracts Management: Renew water system service contracts and oversee in-house contractors (TWMM) to ensure compliance with service standards and contractual obligations.

3. Maintenance and Spare parts Control: Manage Operations & Maintenance of DI water, wastewater, reclaim water, and domestic water systems and monitor spare parts inventory to minimize operational risks.

4. Consumption Forecasting & Budgeting: Perform routine water consumption forecasting and update budget plans based on operational changes.

5. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date water system documentation, including drawings and technical reports; prepare and submit water-related reports, including those required by authorities for approved/granted projects.

6. Authorities Liaison: Act as the primary contact for authorities on water-related matters, including issue resolution, report submissions, grants, claims, and license renewals.

7. Team Development: Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.

8. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives for water system efficiency, sustainability, and cost reduction.

9. Lead Water System Projects: Plan and execute improvement initiatives—including upgrades, expansions, retrofits, and water/energy-saving projects—from feasibility study through design review, execution, commissioning, and final buy-off.

10. Manage Project Delivery: Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality completion.

11. Prepare Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including system specifications, progress reports, and compliance records.

12. Resolve Technical Issues & Coordinate Stakeholders: Address technical queries, resolve installation/testing challenges, and maintain close coordination with contractors and project teams.

Ensure Design & Construction Quality: Validate designs, monitor site work through regular walkdowns, and ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and approved methods.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within a related field.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities for cross-department and authority collaboration.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and high sense of responsibility.
