As a Qualcomm CPU Engineer, you will lead innovative Central Processing Unit (CPU) design efforts that have a critical impact on industries across the world. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, verify, and implement multi-core CPU operations for all Qualcomm Business Units.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.

Overview

  • Power analysis on a project involved in the development of CPUSS.
  • Power characterization of various CPU benchmarks using tools like PTPX and Joules.
  • Work closely with RTL design, Synthesis, and physical design teams to measure and optimize power.
  • Tabulate metrics results for analysis comparison.
  • Work with post-Silicon teams to correlate projections with silicon power measurements.

Required Skill Set and Experience

  • 1+ years’ experience in power characterization, or related work experience.
  • Experience in Power analysis and optimization required.
  • Proficiency in scripting language, such as: Tcl, Python.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with low power implementation techniques in RTL, Synthesis or Physical design stages.
  • Low power intent concepts and languages (UPF or CPF).
  • Understanding of CPU micro-architecture and their power challenges.
