Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

About the Role

The CPU Silicon Bring-up team is responsible for preparing and supporting the bring-up of every SoC using ARM CPUs—from first silicon through productization. This leadership role involves driving technical strategy, planning, and execution for CPU validation and bring-up.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Lead CPU bring-up and validation efforts across multiple SoCs.

· Develop test content and strategies for CPU validation on silicon.

· Prepare for CPU bring-up through pre-silicon work on emulation and FPGA platforms.

· Partner with SoC bring-up and software teams to plan and execute CPU bring-up activities.

· Collaborate with CPU design and verification teams to develop test plans.

· Triage and debug silicon failures, driving root-cause analysis and resolution.

· Work with verification teams to reproduce silicon failures on emulators and FPGA platforms.

· Suggest and architect new debug features to improve future CPU bring-up processes.

· Mentor and guide team members, fostering technical excellence.

Minimum Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

· 10–12 years of industry experience, including:

o 5+ years in CPU bring-up and validation.

o 3+ years in silicon validation and bring-up.

· Strong experience in embedded firmware development using Assembly and C/C++.

· Familiarity with software toolchains (assemblers, compilers, Makefiles, source control).

Preferred Requirements

· Deep understanding of microprocessor architecture (ARM AArch64 preferred).

· Knowledge of power management and physical design concepts.

· Hands-on experience in silicon bring-up and validation of CPU features.

· Expertise in debugging functional, power, performance, and physical design issues.

· Background in CPU design and verification.

· Experience in developing test content and vectors for CPU validation and tester bring-up.
