General Summary:
We are seeking a visionary Senior Software Engineer with 2-6 years of experience to architect and deliver AI-native, agentic systems. In this role, you will drive the development of scalable Agentic AI software applications and pipelines in the VLSI domain. The ideal candidate is passionate about harnessing cutting-edge agentic frameworks and AI-native best practices to advance autonomy, adaptability, and efficiency in software solutions—contributing to the creation of next-generation chips at Qualcomm.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement multi-agent systems, enabling sophisticated agent-to-agent (A2A) interactions and orchestration.
- Design and build Model Context Protocol (MCP) for complex workflows, integrating diverse agentic modules and LLM-powered components.
- Develop AI-native applications using frameworks such as Langchain, Langgraph, Deepagents, DSPY, Google ADK, Autogen, crewAI, and more.
- Apply AI-native best practices, including prompt engineering, model evaluation, continuous learning, and ethical AI usage.
- Integrate Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and advanced reasoning capabilities into agentic workflows.
- Evaluate, adopt, and integrate emerging agentic frameworks and AI tools, ensuring innovation and scalability.
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and infrastructure for LLM finetuning, deployment, and monitoring.
- Promote the use of AI tools for code generation, testing, documentation, and workflow optimization.
- Incorporate CI/CD and MLOps practices for rapid iteration and seamless deployment of AI-native solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience in agentic AI development, multi-agent systems, and AI-native application building.
- Good knowhow and experience in one or more agentic frameworks: Langchain, Langgraph, Deepagents, DSPY, Google ADK, Autogen, crewAI is highly preferrable.
- Experience designing and implementing agent-to-agent (A2A) protocols and multi-component pipelines (MCP).
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with LLM libraries (e.g., Hugging Face Transformers, OpenAI API).
- Solid understanding of RAG architectures, prompt engineering, and knowledge integration techniques.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins) and MLOps platforms (MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow).
- Strong data engineering skills and experience with cloud/on-prem infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools for development, testing, and workflow automation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or related field.
- Contributions to open-source agentic frameworks or technical publications in LLMs, RAG, or agentic AI.
- Experience with multi-agent orchestration, autonomous systems, and generative AI applications.
- Proven track record in applying AI-native best practices and tools in real-world projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
