About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Brand Protection Manager to lead our global efforts in safeguarding the Arduino brand across all digital channels. This role requires an individual with a proven track record in online brand protection, including expertise in combating counterfeit goods, unauthorized use of intellectual property (IP), and digital infringement across e-commerce platforms, social media, and domain names. The ideal candidate should be adept at operating within a large, global organization, engaging effectively with cross-functional teams, and managing relationships with senior executive leadership and European as well as US-based legal counsel and attorneys. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have experience and a keen interest in leading 'evangelization efforts' with both internal and external stakeholders to effectively integrate brand protection principles and practices across the entire organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.

Associate's degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant work experience.

Key Responsibilities

● Design, Lead and execute a comprehensive global online brand protection strategy, specifically targeting and eliminating counterfeit products and IP infringement across major international e-commerce sites (e.g., Amazon, Alibaba, eBay), websites, and social media platforms.

● Manage the relationship with our specialized brand enforcement provider, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and timely and accurate removal of infringing content and products.

● Develop and deliver evangelization efforts (e.g. training, seminars) to internal teams and external partners on brand protection policies and best practices.

● Act as the primary point of contact for our attorneys on all brand enforcement matters, providing detailed case documentation, strategic recommendations, and ensuring alignment with global legal objectives.

● Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with senior management across Sales, Legal, Product Development and Marketing teams to ensure a unified and consistent approach to brand protection.

● Conduct in-depth market surveillance and analysis to identify emerging threats, key infringers, and new platforms requiring brand protection efforts, and regularly report findings to senior leadership.

● Participate in managing Arduino’s IP portfolio, including trademarks and copyrights, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to pursue legal action where necessary.

Required Skills and Experience

To be successful in this highly visible global role, the ideal candidate must possess the following:

● Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Brand Protection, Intellectual Property (IP) enforcement, whether in-house within a global technology or consumer electronics company or a renowned brand protection service provider.

● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills required to effectively engage with senior executives, cross-functional department heads, and external legal counsel.

● Demonstrated expertise in online enforcement and anti-counterfeiting programs, including a deep working knowledge of the policies and takedown procedures for major international e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon Brand Registry, Alibaba IP Protection).

● Proven ability to manage complex IP portfolios and coordinate enforcement efforts across multiple international jurisdictions.

● Data Analysis & Reporting: Proficiency in using brand protection monitoring tools and the ability to analyze enforcement data, generate strategic insights, and prepare executive-level reports.

● Legal & Regulatory Knowledge: A solid understanding of global intellectual property laws and international trade regulations impacting brand protection.

● Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Marketing, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree (e.g., JD, MBA, LLM) is an advantage.

● Native-level fluency in written and spoken English. Proficiency in other languages relevant to global e-commerce and brand enforcement (e.g., Mandarin, Spanish) is a significant advantage.
