General Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quote-to-Cash Systems Engineer to design, implement, and optimize end-to-end Q2C processes for our subscription-based businesses. This role will focus on integrating and maintaining systems that support quoting, pricing, order management, billing, and revenue recognition, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer experience.

- Significant influence over key organizational decisions, frequently consulted by senior leadership for input on critical decisions.
- Expert problem-solving skills, employing both deductive and inductive reasoning; multiple approaches may be necessary to resolve issues, often with incomplete information; advanced data analysis and interpretation skills are essential.
- High level of creativity and innovation, developing new processes, procedures, or work products within established guidelines to achieve strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design & Integration
- Architect and maintain Q2C platforms to support subscription lifecycle management.
- Integrate Q2C systems with CRM, ERP, and payment gateways for automated workflows.
- Process Optimization
- Analyze existing quote-to-cash processes and identify opportunities for modernization, automation, and efficiency.
- Implement best practices for subscription billing, renewals, and amendments.
- Technical Implementation
- Configure pricing models, discount structures, and approval workflows.
- Develop APIs and middleware solutions for data synchronization across systems.
- Compliance & Security
- Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards and data privacy regulations.
- Implement robust security measures for financial transactions and customer data.
- Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for Q2C systems, resolving complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Principal Duties
- Exemplary communication skills to effectively network with project leads and internal teams via email and direct conversation, overcoming highly complex obstacles and resolving critical issues with precision.
- Advanced troubleshooting and debugging capabilities for systems and/or applications, performing comprehensive root cause analyses, and escalating issues both internally and externally as necessary.
- Proactive monitoring and analysis of overall availability and performance of systems and/or applications, ensuring uninterrupted access for customers, identifying significant trends, and making high-level strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Active participation and direction in project review sessions to communicate detailed project status and discuss intricate, high-stakes issues.
- Leadership as a technical expert on features or systems, assigning work to project teams, and addressing the most advanced tasks to ensure successful project completion.
- Identification and synthesis of technical issues that impact projects or broader systems, creating detailed documentation for discussion with relevant stakeholders (e.g., project leads, team leads).
- Presentation of complex system solutions and other technical information to both internal and external audiences, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Direct collaboration with Business Unit Representatives to ensure new systems and/or applications meet rigorous user requirement specifications and operational standards.
- Mentorship and knowledge dissemination to team members, sharing deep subject matter expertise and latest advancements.
- Guidance in task prioritization for team members, managing distractions, and addressing setbacks with agility and efficiency.
- Development of hybrid-based environments with a focus on right-sizing solutions based on thorough requirement analysis and strategic planning.
- Encouragement of continuous skill and knowledge development among team members, directing them to advanced and specialized resources.
- Expert leadership in technical discussions to ensure the most effective and innovative paths are followed to project completion.
- Active management of team project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple high-stakes projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Experience with cloud ERP solutions.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- 10+ years in systems engineering or IT roles with a focus on Q2C processes.
- Hands-on experience with subscription billing platforms.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems and financial workflows.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in API development, SQL, and integration tools.
- Knowledge of SaaS subscription models and recurring revenue operations.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$192,600.00 - $289,000.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
