As Senior Manager of Business Development for the Healthcare Vertical North America, you will lead Qualcomm’s strategy and engagements across hospitals and health systems, virtual care delivery organizations, medical diagnostics companies, pharmaceutical partners, chronic disease management platforms, and healthcare administration/IT providers. Your mandate is to create demand for Qualcomm‑based solutions, drive adoption of next‑generation healthcare technologies, and ensure Qualcomm’s roadmap is informed by the real operational, regulatory, and clinical needs of the healthcare industry. This role requires strong industry expertise, cross‑functional leadership, technical understanding, and the ability to influence both internal stakeholders and external executive‑level partners.

What You'll Do

  • Lead ecosystem engagement across hospitals, health systems, payers, virtual care providers, diagnostics vendors, pharma innovators, and healthcare IT/ISV partners to accelerate adoption of Qualcomm-based solutions.
  • Drive demand creation by mapping high-value healthcare use cases (including remote patient monitoring, virtual care, clinical mobility, edge AI diagnostics, medical device connectivity, imaging/vision workflows, supply‑chain integrity, and real‑time hospital operations) to Qualcomm technologies.
  • Co-develop solutions with OEMs, ISVs, SIs, and cloud partners to create validated reference architectures, integrated software stacks, compliance pathways, and go‑to‑market bundles supporting healthcare requirements.
  • Influence Qualcomm’s roadmap based on healthcare-specific requirements for security, interoperability standards, workflow integration, power/performance needs, latency, cost, and ruggedization.
  • Orchestrate PoCs and pilots with healthcare organizations and solution vendors, removing blockers and enabling scalable commercial deployments.
  • Shape strategic partnerships and support negotiations for long‑term agreements and co‑innovation frameworks.
  • Represent Qualcomm at healthcare industry events, regulatory/standards discussions, and partner advisory boards.
  • Maintain operational excellence through effective pipeline management, forecasting, CRM accuracy, and executive reporting.

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience.
OR
• Associate's degree and 6+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience.
OR
• High school Diploma or equivalent and 8+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience.

This position will require the ability to travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced technical/clinical degree.
  • 5+ years in business development, strategic partnerships, or healthcare technology commercialization with at least 3+ years in healthcare (providers, diagnostics, virtual care, medical devices, pharma, or healthcare IT).
  • Proven track record forming and closing complex partnerships involving healthcare providers or healthcare tech vendors.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, FDA device pathways, HITRUST, data governance, cybersecurity).
  • Technical familiarity with connectivity, edge compute, AI/ML, clinical mobility, digital diagnostics, cloud healthcare integrations, and interoperability standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with executive‑level audiences.
  • Deep understanding of virtual care, digital therapeutics, regulated medical devices, and healthcare IT infrastructure.
  • Experience launching regulated or semi‑regulated healthcare solutions.
  • Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and EHR integration workflows.
  • Strong network across hospitals, diagnostics companies, pharma partners, digital health companies, and healthcare IT providers.
  • Ability to leverage data/AI insights and CRM platforms for decision‑making.
