General Summary:
Job Overview
The Staff Planner within the Foundry Capacity Planning team plays a critical role in the Supply Chain organization, focusing on forecasting, capacity planning, and wafer start scheduling for foundry resources. This position serves as the primary point of contact for all foundry capacity and forecasting related topics and ensures alignment with sourcing initiatives, inventory strategies and demand fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end oversight of foundry capacity planning and forecasting for assigned suppliers and geometries.
- Develop wafer start schedules that optimize capacity utilization, mitigate constraints, and meet demand requirements while minimizing inventory exposure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including sourcing, planning, finance, and business units to secure and effectively utilize foundry capacity.
- Monitor evolving customer requirements and assess the organization’s ability to meet them in a timely manner.
- Provide in-depth data analysis and actionable recommendations to support strategic initiatives.
- Communicate clearly and effectively across all levels in a global operational environment.
- Contribute to automation initiatives, including rapid response improvements and Tableau reporting.
- Support strategic planning and implementation of technology applications for global planning processes.
- Develop key metrics and analytics to strengthen supply chain infrastructure.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree and 7+ years experience; or a Masters degree and 5+ years experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Operations or Industrial Engineering.
- Working knowledge of capacity and material requirements planning
- Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes
- Experience in process improvement and systems solutions
- Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Capacity planning within a constraint based/advanced planning tool. Rapid Response experience is strongly preferred.
- End to End Semiconductor manufacturing experience with a focus on wafer fabrication processes.
- Experience in using Tableau, PowerBI, ClickView type tools is preferred.
- Proficient in Excel and Power Point (ability to create reports, conduct scenario planning, and collateral generation)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics to broad audiences.
- APICS CPIM certification
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of related work experience.
OR
Associate's degree and 6+ years of related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 8+ years of related work experience.
