General Summary:

Qualcomm Process Packaging Solution (PPS) team is looking for talented, self-motivated candidates who are experienced in Computer programming, Data analysis and advanced AI development. The candidate will collaborate with large engineering teams to integrate broad skills in Computer science, mathematics, statistics, semiconductor device and circuits, VLSI products; develop leading edge AI tools to analyze complex datasets, drive development of predictive models, autonomous agents, as well as innovative solutions that will enhance engineering capability, efficiency and productivity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop & deploy advanced AI tools/Agents in PPS team: Integrate Qualcomm & PPS proprietary domain knowledge/expertise with industry leading LLM/AI capabilities, create efficient and powerful Qualcomm internal AI tools & Agents

  • Enable Engineering Excellence: Support initiatives that improve product engineering through VLSI Product KPI/yield analysis, as well as failure root cause analysis, significantly increase engineer team’s efficiency & productivity.

  • Perform End-to-End Data Analysis: Analyze comprehensive datasets and generate actionable insight from front-end and back-end testing, including product and manufacturing test results.

  • Build Scalable Systems: Design and implement software programs, algorithms, and automated workflows to clean, unify, and analyze large, diverse datasets.

  • Drive Innovation: Engage in exploratory research and develop creative solutions that foster innovation and operational efficiency.

  • Agentic workflow: Assist in cross-departmental implementation of LLM/GenAI applications to drive knowledge transformation and workflow automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor, Master or PhD in CS, AI, or related field

  • Familiarity with AI tools/algorithms and ability to integrate these tools with big data for advanced analysis.

  • Solid experience in statistical modeling, feature extraction, and machine learning techniques (supervised, unsupervised, semi-supervised learning).

  • Exposure to the semiconductor industry is a plus but not required.

  • Proficiency in extracting data from various databases using SQL and other query languages, applying data cleansing, outlier detection, and missing data handling techniques.

  • Knowledge of using AI to optimize SQL queries is a strong advantage. Hands-on experience or willingness to learn machine learning and advanced analytical methods.

  • Familiar with AI/ML/LLM frameworks and tools (HuggingFace Transformers, LangChain, etc.) and configuration management (YAML).

  • Familiarity with JavaScript, AngularJS 2.0, Tableau, and Power BI.

  • Experience with time-series data, image data, semi-supervised learning, and datasets with frequently changing distributions is a plus.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
