Company:
Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.
Job Area:
Operations Group, Operations Group > Product Management
General Summary:
Qualcomm is seeking a Product Management leader to own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the Qualcomm Insight Platform (QIP)—our end-to-end AI-based video analytics and VSaaS platform spanning edge, on-prem, and cloud deployments.
As the QIP Product Management lead, you will be responsible for defining product vision, translating customer and go-to-market requirements into scalable platform capabilities, and driving cross-functional execution across engineering, go-to-market, sales, and ecosystem partners. This role requires deep domain expertise in video analytics, physical security, and AI-driven software platforms, and will work in lock-step with the GTM Lead role within the same organization.
This is a highly visible, high-impact role with direct influence on Qualcomm’s enterprise growth strategy across public safety, smart spaces, retail, and industrial markets.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and own the product vision, platform strategy, and multi-year roadmap for QIP, spanning edge analytics, VSaaS capabilities, AI model lifecycle, and enterprise scalability.
- Lead market and customer discovery to identify unmet needs across physical security, video analytics, and smart-space use cases.
- Establish clear north-star product metrics aligned to customer value, platform adoption, and revenue outcomes.
- Ensure coherent positioning of QIP across standalone platform, partner-led, and solution-led deployments.
Platform & Roadmap Ownership
- Own end-to-end product lifecycle management: requirements definition, prioritization, release planning, launch readiness, and post-launch iteration.
- Translate GTM inputs, customer feedback, and field learnings into actionable product requirements and roadmap trade-offs.
- Drive architectural decisions across edge vs. cloud analytics, data pipelines, AI model orchestration, and multi-tenant security.
- Balance platform scalability with vertical-specific differentiation (e.g., public safety, retail analytics, smart spaces).
Cross-Functional Execution
- Partner closely with Engineering to drive execution excellence, delivery predictability, and architectural rigor.
- Collaborate deeply with the GTM Lead to ensure alignment between product capabilities, market messaging, and sales execution.
- Coordinate across Design, Sales, Customer Engineering, and Legal to ensure enterprise-grade readiness (security, privacy, compliance, SLAs).
- Serve as the product decision-maker when navigating trade-offs between customer urgency, platform integrity, and long-term scalability.
Customer & Partner Engagement
- Act as a senior product interface for strategic customers, partners, and lighthouse accounts.
- Support deal validation, architecture reviews, and executive-level discussions where product clarity is critical.
- Partner with ecosystem players (cameras, edge hardware, ISVs, SIs) to ensure seamless QIP integrations and extensibility.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
• 8+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- MBA or advanced technical degree.
- 8+ years of product management experience in B2B software, enterprise platforms, or AI-driven systems.
- 5+ years of direct experience in video analytics, physical security, computer vision, or VSaaS platforms.
- Proven track record of owning complex, multi-tenant platforms used by enterprise or government customers.
- Strong ability to translate technical capabilities (AI inference, video pipelines, metadata, privacy) into customer-centric product decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across engineering, sales, and executive audiences.
- Experience building or scaling cloud-plus-edge video analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with competitive landscapes including Verkada, Eagle Eye Networks, Rhombus, or similar platforms.
- Experience with AI model lifecycle management, analytics pipelines, and enterprise SaaS metrics.
- Background working with building security, public safety, retail, healthcare, manufacturing, or industrial customers.
- Demonstrated success operating in fast-moving, highly cross-functional environments.
