General Summary:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Android Bluetooth host stack components and Bluetooth profiles for Qualcomm-based Android platforms.
  • Enhance and support existing Bluetooth profiles and host functionality through bug fixes, performance optimizations, and feature development, including proprietary and customer‑specific requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with System Test teams to validate functionality, ensure robustness, and maintain high quality standards across releases.
  • Work with Customer Engineering teams to resolve integration issues, support platform adoption, and deliver reliable Bluetooth solutions to customers.
  • Drive end‑to‑end Bluetooth technology deployment, from early platform bring‑up and feature development through production release and post‑launch support.
  • Ensure Bluetooth software quality, standards compliance, and consistency across multiple Qualcomm platforms and Android releases.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams and manage deliverables in a fast‑paced, customer‑driven environment.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Android‑based platforms and system‑level software development.
  • Proficiency in C++, Java, and C programming languages, with demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable code.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object‑oriented design principles.
  • Strong C++ expertise with experience developing efficient, high‑performance software for low‑power and memory‑constrained systems.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills, including hands‑on experience with debugging and analysis tools such as logcat, GDB, strace, and similar utilities.
  • Experience using Bluetooth qualification and debugging tools, including air sniffers (e.g., Ellisys, Frontline) and Bluetooth SIG Profile Tuning Suite (PTS).
  • Strong understanding of Android Bluetooth technology, including host stack architecture, core components, and Bluetooth profile implementations.
  • Exposure to Rust programming and interest in applying modern, memory‑safe languages to system‑level software.
  • Experience working with system peripheral interfaces such as SPI, UART, PCM/I2S, and USB in embedded or Android‑based platforms.
  • Hands‑on exposure to Android Bluetooth stack internals, with the ability to analyze, propose, and implement architectural or design improvements.
  • Familiarity with device drivers and low‑level system debugging across kernel and user‑space boundaries.
  • Exposure to the Android Audio Framework, particularly in the context of Bluetooth audio profiles and data paths.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
