The role of the engineer will be to help validate Security functionality on a new system-on-chip (SOC) for Qualcomm’s Embedded RTOS based solutions/platforms.

Right candidate shall be required to design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. Role would entail troubleshooting and resolving system issues ranging across components in the overall chip’s architecture.

The engineer will take ownership of a component of a project and will be responsible for validating the software on a timescale agreed with the group leader/program manager. The engineer should be able to work with minimal supervision.

Skills Expectations:

· Excellent C and Python programming skills, with proven experience in developing test software to validate product use cases at system and feature test levels

· Extensive on-chip application validation experience, with a strong understanding of the chip development life cycle, and exposure to SoCs, peripherals, and embedded environments

· Strong knowledge of security concepts, including:

· Secure Boot and Root of Trust

· Encryption and Decryption

· Authentication and Authorization

· Secure Device Provisioning and Access Control

· Excellent understanding of the programming model of cryptographic hardware, including:

· Hardware cryptographic accelerators

· Random Number Generators (RNGs)

· Key hashing, key wrapping, and key management

· Proficient in vulnerability testing, risk analysis, and security assessments, with hands-on experience in:

· Security standards and protocols

· Security systems and authentication protocols

· Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Certification Authorities (CAs), and digital signatures

· Strong understanding of ARM and RISC architectures, particularly ARM Cortex-M and RISC-V families

· Knowledge of ARM TrustZone technology and related security concepts is a strong plus

· Experience working with FPGA-based emulation platforms, debugging tools, and lab equipment such as:

· Logic analyzers and oscilloscopes

· JTAG interfaces using Lauterbach and J-Link

· Strong experience in developing automation frameworks for embedded environments, with excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills

· Experience working in CI-driven development environments and actively participating in design reviews and feature reviews

Educational Requirements: Bachelors/Masters in Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering and/or Electronics Engineering and/or Telecommunication and/or Information Technology, Telecommunications or equivalent

Experience: 3-7 years of relevant industry work experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
