Description

Selector is seeking a Principal Technical Trainer to join our growing Product team. Reporting to the VP of Product Management, you will focus on developing quality, innovative technical resources, and training materials to support our enterprise customers.

Selector's Technical Trainers fuel Selector's growth by accelerating the adoption of our platform by partnering with internal teams, developing deep subject matter expertise, and otherwise thinking through how best to enable our customers to leverage Selector better.

Our Technical Trainers share their technical and product expertise with customers and prospects through documentation, demos, and presentations.

A successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively across multiple departments and customers, shift gears at a moment's notice, and enjoy the challenges of working with enterprise clients. If you're established within the monitoring or observability space with knowledge of the networking domain, we should talk.


Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of customers' challenges related to monitoring and observability, and use your subject matter expertise to help customers understand how best to achieve their objectives.
  • Architect documentation, training, and adoption journeys for Selector's customers
  • Guide customers in adopting Selector and the associated best practices to ensure successful adoption of the platform.
  • Educate customers on Selector's value proposition, conduct training, and participate in customer discussions as to how best to leverage Selector to address their challenges.
  • Build world-class documentation, training materials, whitepapers, and webinars to help customers leverage the latest Selector features.
  • Collaborate with the Product, Marketing, Evangelism, and Customer Success teams.
  • Be a Trusted Advisor to Product Management by providing high-quality feedback based on your field experience and observations.
  • Present training classes to company personnel and customers on various Selector product features.

Qualifications

  • Work remotely or in the home office in Santa Clara, CA.
  • 5+ years in a similar role dealing with Technical Training and Documentation responsibilities.
  • Able to adapt to new technologies, learn quickly, and manage high ambiguity.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Comfortable discussing complex technical details with a room full of engineers as well as with briefing executives or non-technical personas.
  • Experience working closely with enterprise customers and channel partners.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including effectively communicating with executives, engineers, and operations staff. You will need to both write and tell stories that inspire staff from different disciplines so that we may collectively work towards a shared vision.
  • Ability to travel as required, expected 25%
  • Experience within the network monitoring and observability software category is strongly preferred.

Compensation

  • The salary for this role is $110,000 - $120,000 base salary, plus bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, and may vary from the amount listed.
