About SnowplowSnowplow is the real-time customer context layer that collects, validates, enriches, and delivers behavioral data for advanced analytics, ML, and AI agent decisioning. Snowplow's event tracking is leveraged across 2M+ websites and applications globally, processing over one trillion events per month.
More than 250 companies, including Experian, AutoTrader, Strava, Condé Nast, and HelloFresh, rely on Snowplow to build a well-governed, first-party data foundation that powers their customer-facing AI agents, in-session personalization and recommendations, and real-time analytics.
This OpportunityThe Director of GTM Platform is a senior, hands-on leadership role at the center of Snowplow’s GTM engine. You own the foundation that the entire go-to-market motion runs on top of — the martech systems, data, scoring models, and intelligence layer that every stage of the funnel depends on.
As the owner of the platform, you’ll set the GTM Engineering roadmap, translating model designs and AI workflows into production-ready systems that commercial teams use to identify who to reach out to, why, and with what message. You’ll also own the martech stack (e.g. Webflow, Salesforce Campaigns, Pardot, Apollo, Qualified), responsible for data completeness and routing integrity across the entire go-to-market motion.
Reporting to the SVP of Marketing & Growth, this role requires someone who has a clear point of view on how AI reshapes marketing operations and GTM Engineering. That transition runs through the existing stack rather than around it. You'll have unlimited access to Claude and best-in-class AI tooling from day one, with a standing mandate to run GTM Engineering the way an AI-native startup would. The GTM Engineering roadmap you set and ship should be visible across the business, well-documented, and actively adopted.
What you will ownGTM Engineering Leadership
- Set and publish the GTM Engineering roadmap. Prioritize decisions about what gets built, in what order, and why. Keep the roadmap as a visible, business-wide asset so every stakeholder knows what is being built, what has shipped, and what is coming next.
- Manage the GTM Engineer, set the priorities, protect their focus and give them enough context to make sound decisions without you in the room.
- Translate GTM Engineering outputs into tools and intelligence that commercial teams actively use, leading the design and delivery of new flagship initiatives as they’re identified.
- Design and deliver enablement when new tools, models, or agents ship. A roadmap item is not complete until the intended users understand what it does, how to use it, and what outcome it is designed to drive.
- Maintain a structured feedback loop with commercial teams across the funnel so the GTM Engineering roadmap stays connected to real operational needs.
Marketing Operations
- Own the martech stack, including configuration, permissions, documentation, vendor relationships, across current tools (Snowplow Webflow, Salesforce Campaigns, Pardot/MCAE, Apollo.io, Qualified, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console). Decide what stays, what gets replaced, and what gets rebuilt with newer, AI-native alternatives as they prove out.
- Own the integrations that feed first-party data, intent signals, and audience segments from the platform into paid digital ad systems to improve targeting precision and segmentation.
- Operate lead routing, scoring logic, suppression lists, MQL/PQL/SQL system definitions, and reporting.
- Maintain platform hygiene, data quality, contact enrichment coverage, privacy/GDPR compliance, and deliverability health across the stack.
- Own attribution methodology for centralized reporting mechanisms: dashboards, funnel metrics, etc. for the SVP and exec team. Collaborate with RevOps on cross-functional views.
- Own the martech and platform budget: vendor contracts, renewals, and negotiations.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with RevOps on lead routing SLAs, system integrations, and attribution methodology. Own the underlying data infrastructure that makes cross-functional reporting possible.
- Ensure the commercial teams have what they need to use the platform effectively.
Measures of success
- GTM Engineering release velocity and adoption: roadmap items shipped on time and actively used by the commercial teams.
- Platform health and data quality: lead routing SLA adherence, enrichment coverage, system uptime, and deliverability health across the stack.
We would love to hear from you if you have - Fluent, hands-on use of AI tools in your own daily work, not just oversight of systems others build. You hold a clear, opinionated point of view on how AI is changing marketing operations and GTM engineering, and default to rebuilding a workflow with AI rather than maintaining the version that predates it.
- A bias toward rebuilding over patching. If a newer tool or approach can replace a legacy system's function faster and better, your instinct is to prototype the replacement, not extend the workaround. You believe (and want to prove) that the current platform can be reimagined and shipped in days, not quarters, when the right tooling exists.
- You've personally built something (e.g. a workflow, an internal tool, a scrappy version of a product) using AI-native tooling, not just directed someone else to build it.
- Comfortable inheriting production systems with real operational weight — you evolve them deliberately, not recklessly.
- Deep operational fluency with modern marketing infrastructure. You can log in and fix things yourself, when necessary.
- Proven budget management and vendor negotiation, including the judgment to consolidate or cut legacy spend to fund what replaces it.
- Deep B2B SaaS marketing operations experience, with meaningful hands-on exposure to modern GTM engineering practices, such as AI-driven scoring, enrichment, and outbound systems.
- Experience managing or closely collaborating with a technical function. You are comfortable setting a roadmap, making prioritization decisions, and holding a technical direct report accountable to shipping.
- A builder’s mindset for enablement: you don’t consider something shipped until the people who need to use it understand what it does and how to use it effectively.
- A test-and-learn mentality, even for platform initiatives that run on quarterly or annual cycles.
