Sr Instructional Designer

Position Overview

We are seeking an Instructional Designer to create engaging, scalable, and outcomes-driven learning experiences that accelerate customer and partner adoption of Vectra solutions. In this role, the Instructional Designer will define and implement foundational templates, standards, and frameworks for scalable microlearning and certification content.

This position designs and develops Vectra’s customer education programs - building microlearning, structured learning paths, and certifications aligned to user roles, use cases, and lifecycle stages. Working cross-functionally with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Product, PS, and PM, the Instructional Designer translates technical knowledge into clear, compelling, and measurable learning experiences delivered through our LMS and VectraAI Success portal.

Key Responsibilities

Learning Design & Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain customer and partner learning programs, certifications, and microlearning content.
  • Build modular, interactive courses using authoring tools such as Rise 360, Storyline, or equivalent.
  • Create hands-on labs, assessments, and simulations that reinforce learning objectives and practical skill development.
  • Partner with SMEs and Product teams to translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand instructional materials.
  • Support localization, accessibility, and continuous content refreshes to ensure global reach and relevance.

Content & Quality Management

  • Establish design standards and templates to ensure a consistent learner experience across courses and formats.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Enablement Program Manager on release timelines, testing, and LMS publishing.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates based on learner feedback, analytics, and new product features.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with PS, PM, and Marketing to align enablement content with product positioning and customer messaging.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Vectra’s certification framework, ensuring alignment with product and partner strategies.

Required Qualifications

Instructional Design & Learning Expertise

  • 7+ years of experience in instructional design or learning experience development within SaaS or enterprise technology environments, preferably in B2B.
  • Proven ability to design role-based and scenario-based learning aligned to business outcomes.
  • Experience with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Captivate, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional frameworks, and assessment design.

Skills

  • Familiarity with LMS administration and SCORM/xAPI standards.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical SMEs, trainers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail in learning content.
  • Comfort working with global teams across time zones, particularly with U.S.-based stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience designing for cybersecurity enterprise software audiences.
  • Knowledge of video editing or multimedia production tools (Descript, Camtasia, or similar).

  • Completion and certification rates across customer and partner programs.
  • Positive learner satisfaction and feedback scores.
  • Timely delivery of new and updated content aligned with product and enablement roadmaps.
  • Consistency and engagement across learning experiences and modalities.
